Kenny Anunike is the Founder and CEO of Skelo Wear, an AI-powered, exo-skeletal wearable company that keeps athletes and professionals safe in sports, military, construction, industrial, and the general workplace. He is committed to protecting career longevity while improving the quality of life post-retirement. As a 2X patented inventor and former professional athlete, Kenny brings a rare blend of championship-level mentality and scientific creativity/innovation to the startup space.
A former NFL defensive end, Kenny’s professional career is highlighted by winning Super Bowl 50 with the Denver Broncos. Known for his relentless work ethic, resiliency, and leadership, Kenny was a part of one of the most dominant defensive units in NFL history. During that year, he was awarded the Broncos’ Community Ambassador Award for unparalleled commitment in volunteering, inspiration, and leadership throughout the Denver community. His career also included time with the New York Jets, before transitioning into his next chapter of impact.
Off the field, Kenny is a two-time graduate of Duke University, where he earned both undergraduate and graduate degrees. During his time there, he became a two-time All-ACC honoree and set the program’s career sack record. While studying Biological Anthropology & Anatomy, Kenny was on track to becoming a cardiovascular surgeon. His academic and athletic achievements earned him national recognition as a scholar-athlete, fueling his ongoing mission to fuse high-performance science with purpose-driven entrepreneurship.
An in-demand motivational speaker and emerging voice in the health-tech and performance ecosystem, Kenny speaks on resilience, focus, consistency, culture, and impact-driven innovation, drawing on his experiences in high-stakes environments from the NFL to the boardroom. His leadership embodies grit, purpose, and a deep commitment to helping others believe, move, and live better.
He also earned a second master’s degree in sports coaching at The Ohio State University while coaching for the football team. Kenny was a part of the 2018, 2019, & 2020 Big Ten Champions teams. After coaching for three years at Ohio State (Graduate Assistant Defensive Line Coach), then at Fordham University (Defensive Run Game Coordinator/ Defensive Line Coach), he stepped away from the field to launch his purpose-driven initiative, Skelo Wear; where he is pioneering innovations that serve athletes, professionals, and everyday movers alike — revolutionizing the way we implement protection through data-backed design.
